This means the painting of a human or animal subject using references such as Digital Images, Printed Pictures or from Memory. A portrait painting or drawing depicts the image of a particular person or animal, or group thereof.
Our Portrait Painting Course for Beginners at the Crafts Village Academy is aimed at teaching beginners the Art of Portrait Painting from scratch using Traditional Methods and at the end of this course, each student will be exposed to all the basics of portrait drawing as well as be able to complete a portrait by themselves.

- Introduction to Portrait Painting
- Introduction to Colour Theory
- Introduction to the Basics on Portraiture (Human Head) & Gridding of Portraits.
- Perspective & Composition
- Painting with Acrylics; Portrait sketching to drawing from photos or model(s).
- Portrait Drawing and Shading Techniques
